Privacy & boundary
PDF processing
Selected PDF bytes stay in your browser. Compression is performed with browser JavaScript and the output is held in a temporary object URL in the current tab. We do not upload, store, inspect, sell, or train on the PDF. Closing or reloading the tab removes that temporary result.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics loads for all visitors and supplies a privacy-oriented page-view denominator. After a successful compression, the site offers optional Microsoft Clarity analytics. Clarity loads only after consent, with advertising storage denied, and may record privacy-filtered interaction sessions plus fixed event names. Filenames, PDF bytes, page contents, target values, and result sizes are not sent as event data. “Privacy settings” in the footer lets you change or withdraw the choice; withdrawal clears Clarity cookies and ends its current session.
Local browser state
The site stores your Clarity choice and a simple completion flag in local storage. The flag supports the aggregate return_task event; it does not contain the file, filename, target, or result. No account, server-side history, or cross-site profile is created.
Capability limit
UnderLimit deeply optimizes fonts, images, and redundant PDF resources while keeping text and interactive structure first. If that cannot meet the declared limit, it may rebuild the document as detail-protected visual pages and reports that integrity change in the result. Any rewrite may invalidate an existing cryptographic signature. A visual fallback can remove selectable text, forms, links, tags, and other interactive features or reduce sharpness. Compression does not guarantee that a target is achievable, that a portal will accept the result, or that the output is suitable for legal, archival, accessibility, or printing requirements.
